Ecology
Egg
It emits a sweet scent like an apple. Its shell is soft and delicate, so be careful as it can be crushed by a strong impact. As hatching approaches, its scent deepens, and its soft fur shines brighter with each stroke.
Hatch
The red blush pattern on its cheeks is noticeable. The colors of its face, head-tip, and tail are all different. It has no wings, and its tail is short compared to its body. It likes to carry apples, cherishing them greatly without eating them. If someone tries to take an apple, it becomes very fierce. It wanders around until it finds an apple it likes. It is often found under apple trees, wandering around fallen apples on the ground to pick one. Most of the time, the apples it cherished end up rotting and being discarded without being eaten.
Hatchling
Small wings sprout, and like in its Hatch form, it loves apples. Its claws grow quickly, so it sharpens them on rocks or trees. Since it doesn't like damaged apples, it checks its claws first when it finds an apple. While in its Hatch form it wandered around looking for apples on the ground, as a Hatchling, it flies directly to find apples. It can easily pick apples from high up in trees.
Adult
Its wings grow as large as its body, and their colors become distinct. The color of its joints changes, and long fur grows in patches. Upon reaching adulthood, Applecheek develops a strong fondness for apple trees, even more than just fruit. It roams in search of apple trees and sometimes bestows blessings upon dying ones. It is said that apple trees blessed by Applecheek never rot and bear only delicious apples throughout their lives. Applecheek's chest fur is known to be able to store many apples. It acts as a kind of pouch, a space where Applecheek can carry emergency food. Close Applecheeks sometimes share delicious apples, and it is said that even tasteless apples become delicious when carried by an Applecheek.
Observation Log
- It focuses on picking fallen apples under apple trees, and a subtle apple scent emanates from the blush on its cheeks. It avoids people, but its apple taste evaluations are accurate, and it only eats delicious apples.
- As its wings grow, it easily picks apples from trees. It grooms itself to prevent its sharp claws from damaging apples, and realizing that the rapid growth of trees is its own ability, it strives to protect them.
- Adult Applecheek cares for sick trees and advises orchards. It only speaks after confirming the farmer's sincerity, and realizing that the taste of apples reflects dedication, it helps trees bear abundant fruit.
