Ecology
Egg
It is a spotted egg with red flames burning. The surface is very hot, so touching it with bare hands can cause burns. There is a fire hazard, so avoid flammable materials nearby.
Hatch
It hatches with a fire-like color. It walks on four legs, and the sharp horns on either side of its head show the Fire Dragon's aggressive nature. It always seems angry and full of complaints, spewing fire and picking fights wherever it goes. However, its heat isn't strong enough to cause burns. Still, when it's windy, the Hatch Fire Dragon's fire can cause wildfires, so it's best to keep an eye on it.
Hatchling
The horns and claws on its head are sharper than when it was a hatch. A fiery mane grows on its tail, giving it a dangerous aura. Its personality is calmer than as a hatch, and it controls its flames rather than spewing them everywhere. However, if it gets truly angry, it spews large flames, so caution is needed. The fiery mane on its body is actually hot, so touching it incorrectly can cause burns. To touch a Fire Dragon, it's best to stroke parts without the mane. Unlike as a hatch, it purrs to indicate it's in a good mood.
Adult
A fiery mane ripples from its forehead to the tip of its tail. Its eyes become fiercer, and sharp claws grow on its heels, allowing it to launch powerful attacks even if an enemy is behind it. It can freely control the intensity of its fire when breathing it, and it spews particularly potent flames at enemies. Its aggressive nature persists even into adulthood; it loves to fight and never shies away from a duel, no matter who the opponent is. Most Fire Dragons breathe fire at the start of a duel, creating a large blaze that encircles both the opponent and the Fire Dragon in a circular shape, powerful enough to overwhelm the foe. This act is known to define the duel zone. Fire Dragons enjoy fighting amidst burning flames and can exert even greater power when fire is present. Even the Fire Dragon's breath or snorts carry intense heat, so simply having a Fire Dragon at home during winter can ensure a warm season. Occasionally, Tamers are said to roast marshmallows over a Fire Dragon's fire, but this is impossible unless one is quite close to the Fire Dragon, so caution is advised.
Observation Log
- The flames burning from head to tail easily intensify even with small stimuli. Its freely controllable flame mane grows larger as its emotions intensify.
- It emits powerful firepower but often causes fire accidents due to carelessness. Its flame control is inexperienced, and fire can sometimes explode depending on its emotions.
- It enjoys duels and asserts its pride with a stage of flames. It takes responsibility for destruction with delicate firepower control and possesses a mature side, observing new life growing beneath burnt trees.
