Ecology
Egg
It is an egg covered in sharp ice and cold, acting as a natural refrigerator. Touching it with bare hands carries a risk of frostbite, so it must be placed in a cold spot immediately after collection. Hatching is difficult in warm places, and it is best to always maintain a cool temperature.
Hatch
It hatches with ice attached to various parts of its body. A newly hatched Frost Dragon has no wings, but small ice crystals near its back indicate where its wings will grow. It has excellent ice-manipulating abilities from its hatchling stage. It can freeze anything but cannot shape the ice or control the freezing intensity. When a happy Frost Dragon wags its tail, snowflakes scatter.
Hatchling
It grows sturdy ice wings. The tip of its tail and around its body, more ice that doesn't easily melt emerges. It can skillfully control the intensity of freezing and emit stronger cold air than in its Hatch form. It likes cold places but refrains from staying in small lakes for too long as it quickly freezes over. Frost Dragon's path can be traced by the frost it leaves behind.
Adult
The ice on Frost Dragon's body is very sacred. Research from the Dragon Research Institute has revealed that because the ice is formed from long periods of cold and pure snow, it consists of pure components. Eating Frost Dragon's ice can sustain one without drinking water all day. Furthermore, it is said that ice personally given by a Frost Dragon can cure any illness. The ice surrounding its body sharpens, and its wings also grow larger. More ice sprouts around its body, covering its face and chest. It can emit ice to quickly freeze opponents. It can also absorb cold air or turn large areas of water into ice. Frost Dragons sometimes visit hot regions with their Tamers, where people have never seen ice or water is very scarce. There are instances of them turning oases into ice rinks or gifting ice.
Observation Log
- Immediately after hatching, its clumsy ice control sometimes caused danger, but after realizing the dangers of ice, it always tries to act cautiously to avoid harming others.
- As it grows, the Frost Dragon emits intense cold and spreads its ice wings, falling into deep contemplation. Rather than wandering the world, it meditates deep within glaciers and quietly listens to the worries of others.
- Frost Dragon, known as the 'Sage of Ice' for its introspection and cool demeanor, possesses warm empathy. The 'Ice Forest', a forest formed by ice trees it carved whenever it pondered, is a space imbued with its anguish and reflection.
