Egg
The entire egg is engulfed in flickering flames and reacts to sunlight. Unlike what it seems, the flames are not hot, maintaining a temperature safe enough to touch. Because it reacts to the power of the sun, its flames visibly weaken on sunless nights.
Hatch
From the Hatchling stage, wings begin to grow. Flames, like wings, erupt from behind its arms, helping Ilios fly through the sky. It cannot control the flames, so small fires sometimes occur whenever a Hatchling Ilios flies.
Hatchling
Unlike when it was a hatchling, its entire body blazes. Its large horns turn the same fiery color as Ilios's flames. Flames appear all the way to the tip of its tail. The more sunlight it receives, the more its body blazes. From its hatchling stage, it greatly prefers day over night and rarely appears after dark.
Adult
Its seemingly tough scales are absolutely impenetrable. Its body, engulfed in flames, constantly burns its scales to maintain a scorching temperature. Ilios's flames resemble sunlight. From a distance, it appears very bright, and up close, it's hot enough to feel like it could burn you. It is known to exert its greatest power during hot days, and Ilios that have absorbed a lot of sunlight are said to be able to produce even hotter flames. Most Ilios have a very righteous personality. They value commands and feel stable in peaceful conditions. They are sensitive to small changes and often continue to live in the environment they have adapted to. They are active during the day but do not move much at night.
Observation Log
- Ilios flies by generating flames instead of wings, sometimes leaving embers in its wake. The flames on its arms and back burn at regular intervals, stabilizing its otherwise erratic flight.
- The intensity of its flames varies with sunlight. They burn vibrantly during the day and their movement decreases at night. The flames extend to the tip of its tail, and it adjusts its altitude according to the sun.
- It absorbs solar heat with its red horns to push away creatures and blocks evil beings with the heat emitted from its entire body. It also warms the ground and changes air currents to clear away fog or darkness.
