Ecology
Egg
The egg's surface is made of metal, so it does not break from any impact. It has strong magnetism, so if a magnet is placed nearby, it sticks to the egg's surface. Striking the egg does not break it; instead, a magnificent vibration resonates far into the surroundings.
Hatch
It has a mechanical body from its hatchling stage. It wears what appears to be a mask and never tries to take it off. If it doesn't consume enough oil, it closes its eyes and rests. A robotic sound can sometimes be heard whenever it walks. In its hatchling stage, it is clumsy at moving its tail and sometimes messes up objects.
Hatchling
Its wings become sharper and its tail grows longer than when it was a hatch. The robotic sounds diminish slightly, so it doesn't make much noise when walking. It becomes somewhat skilled at handling its tail, even modifying its own body. It also roams outside to find various materials.
Adult
This is a dragon with records from ancient times referring to it as the origin of fire or the incarnation of fire. Its tail grows longer than when it was a hatchling. The tip of its tail splits into three and can be manipulated freely. It is sometimes used as a hand and also for assembly using its sharp tail. The scales covering its entire body are very thin but sharp, making them impossible to touch carelessly. The scales can also transform into thorn-like shapes. The shape of its tail or wings changes slightly depending on the Iron Dragon's modifications.
Observation Log
- It never removes its mask and emits mechanical sounds with every step. The scales covering its body are thin and sharp, so caution is advised when touching it, as one could be cut just by brushing against them.
- It modifies itself and machines with its freely moving tail, which serves a role beyond that of a hand. It wanders around searching for machine materials, accurately finding necessary parts even within scrap heaps.
- Its shape changes by part as it is modified, never settling on a fixed completion. It quickly repairs mechanical structures by understanding them with the gem on its forehead. It records its techniques and shares them with trusted individuals, leading technological advancement among dragons.
