Ecology
Egg
Leaves grow on this egg, and as hatching approaches, they grow large enough to cover the egg. It needs to be watered to prevent the leaves from drying out, and care must be taken to protect it from insects. It requires delicate care like a plant, and the healthier it is, the more vibrant its green color becomes.
Hatch
It loves water and sunlight from its hatchling stage. It enjoys submerging its entire body in puddles and finds damp leaves pleasant. It often spreads its wings wide to photosynthesize, and rarely moves at all on cloudy days.
Hatchling
Unlike when it was a hatchling, during its hatchling stage, the leaves covering its entire body grow very large. Its wings also sprout green, large enough to envelop its whole body. It enjoys wrapping itself in leaves and photosynthesizing under the sun. It loves dew and sometimes spends time under its favorite tree. It often flies to cool places to spend time.
Adult
During its growth, it sometimes wraps its face with its own leaves. When it becomes an adult, the leaves attach to its forehead and do not fall off, and these are known to vary in size and type for each Leaf Dragon. In some cases, the leaves may rot or dry out depending on the Leaf Dragon's health condition. The Leaf Dragon's wings and tail are also made of plant tissue. At first glance, they look like leaves, but when touched, they are actually very thin skin. This thin skin sparkles and shines every time it recharges with sunlight and moisture. Leaf Dragons that have undergone a lot of photosynthesis grow wings large enough to wrap around their bodies.
Observation Log
- It enjoys soaking its body in puddles or photosynthesizing under the sun. On cloudy days, it mostly sleeps and tries to keep its leaves moist. It likes clear days after rain the most, and glows on its own when bathed in warm sunlight.
- As it evolves, it wraps its enlarged wings around its body to enjoy photosynthesis. It rarely leaves a tree it likes, collecting and drinking dew. It sometimes quietly competes with other dragons to claim sunny spots.
- Leaf Dragon, whose forehead leaf indicates its health, absorbs the vitality of the forest to revive barren land. It enjoys resting and photosynthesizing in quiet places, and its skin shines more vividly with more sunlight.
