Ecology
Egg
The static electricity flowing from the Lightning Gem is difficult to withstand without considerable resilience. It is mainly found among lightning-struck clouds and rarely appears on clear days. The harsher the Weather, the higher the chance of finding it, making it a precious egg imbued with powerful lightning Energy.
Hatch
After hatching, as a Hatchling, it has no wings. Its arms and legs are short, and red manes sprout from its shoulders. Its abilities are not outstanding, only capable of generating static electricity rather than using lightning powers. Despite its minor abilities, it possesses a righteous heart from birth. It helps animals weaker than itself. It is sensitive to vibrations, enough to hear the heartbeats of animals, and occasionally uses its power to restart a stopped heart.
Hatchling
During its hatchling stage, wings appear, allowing it to fly. Though slower than light, its feet develop enough to run at high speeds. Red fur grows along its spine, and subtle electric currents flow around the fur. These currents sometimes unintentionally kill insects that pass by. The Lightning Dragon observes its surroundings and avoids places where there is life. In winter, the area around the Lightning Dragon becomes warm, serving as a heater for small animals. It can use lightning better than when it was a hatchling, but it can only generate lightning on cloudy days.
Adult
A constant electric current flows around the Lightning Dragon. This current is strong enough to instantly stiffen a body, so it's best not to touch a Lightning Dragon carelessly. Even when Lightning Dragons meet to converse, they maintain a certain distance. Its wings grow considerably, and electric currents continuously flow from the fur around its body. The horns around its body grow larger, and its tail lengthens. It can run or fly at the speed of light and can generate lightning even in a clear, cloudless sky. Its righteous heart, present since it was a hatchling, continues into adulthood; though it may appear gruff on the outside, it possesses a warmer heart than anyone. It has its own standards for distinguishing right from wrong, and it is said that when consumed by a sense of justice, it can transform into lightning and move at the speed of light. It wishes to use its lightning energy for good and sometimes judges evil-doers with lightning. With its lightning energy, it can even restart the stopped hearts of innocent lives.
Observation Log
- Lightning Dragon generates electricity to save lives that are being tormented. With its sensitive hearing, it can detect heartbeats and even restart stopped hearts.
- As it evolves, its flight speed increases, and red fur with flowing electricity grows along its spine. It is very cautious, fearing it might harm others, and before reaching adulthood, it needs clouds to use lightning.
- The Lightning Dragon flies at the speed of light and wields lightning regardless of the weather. It focuses on punishing evil rather than protecting the weak and does not avoid fights. With a strong sense of justice, it prefers to fight alongside reliable comrades.
