Ecology
Egg
The gem at the center of the egg glows red each time life passes by, which is said to be it choosing life to absorb. For this reason, when storing Maldek's egg, the gem is sometimes covered with a black cloth to prevent indiscriminate absorption. The feather stuck in the gem often moves, which is said to be in accordance with Maldek's mood.
Hatch
It spends its time examining the Book of Absorption. Being very curious, it often observes life and travels through various regions rather than staying in one place. It frequently spends time learning about the Book of Absorption, such as by opening it to find what can or cannot be absorbed. When with Stra, it sometimes looks at both the Book of Absorption and the Book of Release.
Hatchling
It can use the Book of Absorption. It sometimes stores life forms or objects of interest within the Book of Absorption. However, due to its indiscriminate absorption, some life forms trapped in the Book of Absorption complain of injustice. The cries of these wronged life forms are heard by Stra, often putting Stra in a difficult position.
Adult
It is a Dragon that wants to store everything it is interested in, such as humans, Dragons, animals, plants, and objects, in the Book of Absorption.nFor this reason, Maldek is displeased when Stra releases what it has absorbed. Only Stra, who possesses the Book of Release, can hear the voices of life trapped in the Book of Absorption. It is said that Maldek cannot hear the stories of life, no matter how much it opens and examines the Book of Absorption.nWhen it finds something it wants to absorb, it quickly uses the pen on its tail to draw or record it in the Book of Absorption. What is recorded in the Book of Absorption cannot be prevented from being absorbed by any power, and objects stored or life trapped in the Book of Absorption cannot escape unless released by the Book of Release.
Observation Log
- Its abilities are still immature, so it cannot yet absorb anything, but it dedicates its entire mind to exploring what can and cannot be absorbed by flipping through the 'Book of Absorption'.
- It indiscriminately traps life forms or objects of interest within the book, and the cries of life forms trapped by its indiscriminate absorption sometimes reach Stra, causing trouble.
- It seeks to store all beings of interest in the Book of Absorption. Once a target is set, it furiously moves the pen on its tail to record it in the book, and a recorded target can never escape without intervention through the Book of Release.
