Egg
This egg has patterns etched on its mud-like surface and is always moist. The egg's surface feels soft and squishy, and multiple layers of mud protect it. Contrary to its appearance, it possesses surprisingly strong defense, making it an egg that won't easily break from external impact.
Hatch
Its back always has blue patterns as if holding water, and four horns sprout from both sides of its face. The feathers of its wings are ivory, unlike its body. Its entire body is made of mud, making it squishy. It struggles to run fast, and mud always remains where the Mud Dragon has passed. It is quite vulnerable to heat; if it's near heat, its entire body stiffens as if rigid. It drinks water frequently and enjoys juicy fruits.
Hatchling
The blue patterns grow larger, extending to its shoulders and covering its entire back. Its tail also holds water, and its wings and tail become even larger than when it was a hatchling. Its feet don't sink in mud, and it can even spring up from mud to fly. While it still leaves mud in its wake, it becomes increasingly resistant to heat, preventing it from hardening easily.
Adult
Its wings grow large enough to envelop its body, and the patterns on its back and shoulders remain the same as when it was a hatchling. Pointed protrusions appear on its tail, blue patterns form on the edges of its wings, and the horns on its head grow longer. It retains so much moisture that it doesn't dry out even when flapping its wings, and it can freely create, clump, and throw mud. While it feels very cold to the touch, the inside of its scales maintains a warm temperature. This body structure is known to allow it to control the consistency of its mud. However, on dry days, the mud hardens, and the color around its mouth or horns may change. The mud touched by a Mud Dragon is incredibly fine, making skin smooth if used as a pack. It can make the mud it touches either thin or hard. It can turn large, dry land into a mudflat and inhabits areas around tidal flats. Most Mud Dragons are highly creative, characterized by their ability to craft various things from mud. Pottery made by Mud Dragons is said to be very rare and limited, selling for high prices.
Observation Log
- The Mud Dragon moves slowly with its squishy mud body, and blue water collects on its back. It leaves mud wherever it goes and compensates for its weakness to high temperatures that harden its body by staying near water or in shadows.
- Mud Dragon, freely roaming through mud and gaining precise manipulation abilities, uses the blue streams flowing from its body to pile up mud, creating playgrounds and structures to complete its own space.
- Adult Mud Dragon, having evolved, creates mud with desired properties. As its skin-improving and healing effects become known, outsiders begin to visit, and Mud Dragon finds fulfillment in becoming a playmate for children and sharing its mud.
