Ecology
Egg
This egg is entirely ablaze, and even a small spark can reignite its flames. When it hatches or dies, it turns into black ash, but if placed in fire, it is restored. Possessing immortal vitality, it regains its egg form in any situation.
Hatch
A small, palm-sized flame burns on its tail. Tiny wings sprout from its back. The Phoenix Dragon's mane and wings are always aflame, but they are not very hot. They hold a warmth similar to a candle flame, and the fire's power is weak during its hatch stage. Because of this, the flame can be extinguished by strong winds or if water touches its body. A Phoenix Dragon whose flame has gone out turns completely black, with only its large eyes visible. If kept at a suitable temperature, its body will ignite again.
Hatchling
The flames on its head mane, wings, and tail grow larger, and their temperature rises even higher. The upper part of the head mane changes from yellow to red, resembling a large bonfire. The tips of its wings also redden, allowing it to fly more powerfully than in its Hatch form due to the energy of fire. When it curls up, it can be mistaken for a real fire, causing Tamers to often overlook the Phoenix Dragon when found in the Mountain Of Fire, mistaking it for a fireball.
Adult
An adult Phoenix Dragon shines brightest when it incinerates its own body temperature. When a Phoenix Dragon begins to burn its body, the resulting Fire power and intense Light around it are enough to cause blindness. Scattered Phoenix Dragon feathers continue to burn if touched by a good person, but instantly turn to ash and crumble if touched by an evil person. Most Phoenix Dragon feathers often disappear due to the flames. Because of this, there are rumors that perfectly preserved feathers grant eternal life. This rumor arose due to the Phoenix Dragon's nickname 'Immortal Bird' and its existence, but whether it truly has this effect has not been accurately confirmed.
Observation Log
- A newly hatched Phoenix Dragon has weak flames that are easily extinguished by water or wind. If its flames go out, its entire body turns black, but if a suitable temperature is maintained, the flames will reignite.
- A grown Phoenix Dragon's mane, wings, and tail erupt with strong flames, creating the illusion that its entire body is burning. The heat emanating from its wings is the most intense, and it can also shoot hot flames from its mouth.
- Phoenix Dragon's feathers burn for the good and turn to ash for the wicked. Though they can be extinguished by a strong impact, even a small spark can revive them. With this endless vitality, it is called the 'Phoenix,' and Phoenix Dragon steadfastly upholds its mission.
