Ecology
Egg
This egg has a spotted pattern and harbors a subtle toxicity. The spots are where the poison circulates, so be careful not to let your skin tingle when touching it. It is a tricky egg to handle carelessly, as it conceals danger within its ordinary appearance.
Hatch
From the hatchling stage, it moves with solemnity and caution. It habitually raises its tail's venom glands and clacks its pincers together, indicating its readiness for Combat at any moment. The closer one approaches, the higher its tail rises, and the faster the clacking sound from its front pincers becomes.
Hatchling
Unlike when it was a hatchling, it hunts prey at night. Its two front claws grow larger and stronger, allowing it to grasp desired targets more securely. The venom glands also increase in size, enabling it to store a greater quantity of venom, which is advantageous for long-duration and long-term hunts. Having reached physical conditions that allow it to secure ample prey, it often hunts at night when other creatures are off guard.
Adult
It presents a challenging battle to opponents by utilizing the venom glands in its tail and the large pincers on its forelegs. It feels like a challenging battle because one must pay attention to both its hard pincer forelegs and its venom-filled tail. If stung by the venom glands, paralysis symptoms worsen over time, and if bitten by the pincers, one becomes unable to move. Furthermore, it reads the opponent's movements and patterns well, displaying attack patterns that the opponent cannot easily discern. It hunts at night when temperatures drop, rather than during the day when the sun is out. Even at night, its vision is clear, allowing it to conceal itself and swiftly subdue its target.
Observation Log
- A hatched Scorpion Dragon is small in size but has a very active tail. It hides in the sand in response to sounds, and as it grows, it builds nests from gravel and sand. It has a habit of hiding its body and only exposing its tail to guard its surroundings.
- Its hardened tail leaves marks on metal, and its movements become precise. It develops a habit of scattering sand to obscure vision or altering terrain before an ambush.
- It assembles devices with its pincers, mastering weapon principles, and transforms and utilizes equipment to fit its body. It freely swings its tail, controlling attacks with intricate and diverse strike patterns that go beyond simple thrusts.
