Ecology
Egg
Covered in thin scales, this egg emits a hissing sound when brought close. Deadly venom flows between its scales, so extreme caution is advised when touching it. From the egg stage, it is an egg of ruthless nature, exuding a sharp and dangerous aura.
Hatch
From a Hatch, it has a snake-like form. It often flicks its long, forked tongue to survey its surroundings. It uses the small bell on its tail to attract attention.
Hatchling
Unlike when it was a hatchling, during its hatchling stage, it can repel small evil spirits through its tail bell. When it shakes its tail, the sound travels quite far, allowing other dragons to pinpoint the Serpent Dragon's location. Small animals that hear the bell sound scatter and flee from the Serpent Dragon.
Adult
The Serpent Dragon spews potent venom from its mouth. Even a small amount of its venomous bodily fluid can cause Paralysis. If forest animals are found collapsed at regular intervals, it is highly likely that a Serpent Dragon has passed by. Even other dragons are powerful enough to avoid areas where a Serpent Dragon has been. Most Serpent Dragons have a playful nature. They secretly approach someone from behind and gently shake their tail bell. The moment the target screams, the Serpent Dragon laughs and flies away. Because of these pranks, some areas frequently visited by Serpent Dragons even have 'Beware of Serpent Dragon' signs.
Observation Log
- With the sound of bells, the surroundings fall into chaos. Creatures sometimes collapse from uncontrolled poison, but the difference between mischief and an exorcism ritual slowly begins to emerge from the consistent rhythm of the bell sounds.
- The pursuit with ringing bells is not an attack but an instinct to purify energy. Serpent Dragon controls the intensity of its venom, manifesting precise forms of poison such as Paralysis and stunning.
- What appears to be playful behavior is actually a warning activity. Serpent Dragon communicates its intentions through the position, frequency, and intensity of its bells, and uses its venom only on precise targets. It shows caution by reducing unnecessary harm and keeping a distance from weaker beings with its bells, hiding its true intentions.
