Ecology
Egg
It has a liquid-like form and a pleasantly squishy texture when touched. The Slime Dragon's eyes move within the transparent egg, observing the outside world. It is a mysterious, vibrant, liquid-form egg that flexibly sways without a fixed shape.
Hatch
From a Hatch, it loves to roam around. It enjoys moving its sticky body. A sticky liquid is left behind wherever a Slime Dragon roams. It cannot properly control its body's consistency, sometimes causing its body to split apart.
Hatchling
Unlike when it was a Hatch, during its Hatchling stage, it can fly. It can adjust its body's density and its wings to the desired size. It cannot fly alone, but with strong winds or a running start, it can take to the sky. It hides its body in the water and then surprises other Tamers or Dragons.
Adult
It can control the transparency of its body. It sometimes plays amusing pranks, such as making itself faint or transparent, or enveloping Tamer's or Dragon's within its body. Mischievous "Slime Dragon"s sometimes hide items from shops. Because of this, they are sometimes called 'cautionary Dragon's' in shops. Wherever a "Slime Dragon" passes, a sticky liquid is left behind. This sticky liquid evaporates after prolonged exposure to sunlight. Using this property, "Slime Dragon"s sometimes intentionally leave their liquid to remember locations.
Observation Log
- When excited or nervous, their body's boundaries collapse and they split apart. They move in liquid form, leaving sticky mucus traces as a means to remember the places they've passed.
- The viscosity of its mucus changes with sunlight and temperature. It adjusts its range of movement through its evaporative properties and changes its transparency to hide its body. This ability is mainly used to avoid predators' gaze in high-altitude areas.
- It prevents intrusion with mucus traps, divides to collect information, and shares it upon merging. It expands or compresses its body according to the environment, passing freely even through narrow gaps.
