Ecology
Egg
A powerful electric current flows between its horns, protecting the egg. It has a habit of charging energy by being struck by lightning, so it loves places with frequent lightning strikes. Electricity always flows through it, so extreme caution is advised upon discovery to avoid electrocution.
Hatch
As a Hatchling, it has lightning wings. It can only launch one lightning bolt at a time and needs to recharge after using them all. During its Hatchling stage, the recharge time for lightning is very long. It takes a full day, and it will take a long time to become proficient with the power of lightning. It enjoys wandering around and sometimes recharges its lightning using sunlight.
Hatchling
Its lightning wings grow larger in proportion to its body. Its skill in handling lightning improves, and its charging time decreases compared to when it was a hatchling. Its power increases, and the strength of its lightning intensifies when near clouds or electricity.
Adult
Its two pairs of lightning grow immensely, rivaling the lightning that strikes from the sky. It can unleash all its lightning at once and recharge quickly. Furthermore, it can adjust the intensity, allowing for precise attacks. Lightning still strikes from its back, and it can control it itself. On cold days, its fur stands on end, sometimes signaling an impending lightning strike. Taabire's claws do not conduct electricity. Its sharp claws are extremely hot, to the point where touching them with bare hands can transfer the heat. It is presumed that the heat from the lightning Taabire endures is discharged through its claws.
Observation Log
- Taabire's wings are imbued with lightning. It charges quickly in response to sunlight and electricity, and frequently ascends to high altitudes during the day to gain energy.
- Flying through clouds stabilizes its current, accelerating charging. The electricity emitted from its wings can be precisely controlled in direction and intensity, and is powerful enough to tear the surrounding air.
- It flexibly switches between precision strikes and area attacks with two pairs of lightning, combining offense and defense with the lightning on its back. It issues warnings with vibrations, and when its fur stands on end and current flows, a powerful attack begins.
