Ecology
Egg
An Emerald Snake endures the burning heat, coiling around the egg to protect it. If anyone tries to touch it, the snake aggressively lunges, making it very difficult to approach. The Emerald Snake never leaves the egg's side until the moment it hatches.
Hatch
From its hatch stage, it practices hunting with the Emerald Snake. Just like when it was an egg, it has the Emerald Snake wrapped around its body. The Emerald Snake moves between Patroa's scales, coordinating their movements. During the hatch period, the Emerald Snake's power is much stronger than Patroa's.
Hatchling
Unlike its Hatch form, as it evolves into a Hatchling, golden wings appear. The spines on its body grow very large, and it begins serious training with Emerald Snakes. It often trains to skillfully handle flames and enjoys adventuring through various regions.
Adult
Its armor-like scales are very large and hard. The scales themselves are very thick and have a rough texture. Unlike the exterior, the inside of the scales is slippery, presumed to have evolved to allow Emerald Snakes to move around easily. The thorns covering its entire body are made of a bone-like hard material. They are not poisonous, but their tips are so sharp that even a slight brush can cause a deep wound. Wounds caused by Patroa's thorns do not heal easily, and it is said that the skin feels like it's burning until the wound closes. Most Patroa enjoy training with Emerald Snakes and prefer exploring various regions. They have a curious nature and cannot stand not knowing something. However, Emerald Snakes still regard Patroa as mere Hatchling Dragons, and it is common for them to take the lead in combat.
Observation Log
- When Patroa hatches from the egg, the Emerald Snake lives with it, teaching hunting methods and aiding its growth.
- Emerald Snake possesses excellent senses, and Patroa acts friendly only towards beings it permits. Patroa protects Emerald Snake with flames if it is in danger.
- Patroa battles by burning thoughts with non-scorching flames and disorienting opponents. Its partner, the Emerald Snake, binds enemies and detects danger, and Patroa acts in perfect sync with just a glance from it.
